Spence Pearson brinnngs up a very interesting point - that you
can sometimes learn something better while distracted than by
conecntrating directly. I remember reading a couple of Zen
stories to this effect. I wonder if anyone has studied this
phenomenon. I suppose the "subliminal" or "sleep learning"
techniques are based on this, as well.
