Subject: CX-12 to replace my elderly Chrometta 12? Other recommendations?

Hi

My 12-year-old Chrometta 12 has finally given up the ghost (the plastic has
started cracking and pieces of it are coming off). I know that the
Chrometta 12 is not the most popular chromatic among the folks on this
list, and is kind of a cheapie, but I really like the way it sounds (nice,
strong low register), and how easy it is to play (like I don't have to blow
real hard to get a loud, clean note). I've tried a Hohner 270, and I didn't
really like it as much, because it seemed to take so much "pressure" to
play it - much more than the Chrometta 12. Also the slide spring on the 270
is _so_ stiff (I know Farrell modifies them to take care of this problem).

Anyway, I've been considering getting a CX-12 to replace the Chrometta 12,
but I'd like to know - is it similar to the Chrometta 12 in sound and
"pressure" required to get a clean, loud note? Does anyone out there have
both and can give a short comparison?

Any other recommendations? Any input is greatly appreciated!

See ya, and thanks in advance
