Subject: silver face bassman

The silver faced are newer models, ie post 1965 CBS but you never know till
you try it. Depends on the speakers and hopefully it is all tube preamp and
power amp. Anyway give it a try and you may end up with a steal but I probably
would not pay $300 for it unless I loved it. The newer bassman did not usually
have the 4 -10" speaker confirguration. Good luck.

I recently saw an ad for a Silver face Bassman for $300.00 It's 50 watts,
cvr.

I'm thinking of checking it out. How do the silver face Bassman amps compare
to the tweed ones?
