Subject: Another lurker emerges

What a pleasure to discover a whole community of harmonica players out
there! I've been reading the Digest for a few weeks now. I've been
playing harmonica since I was a kid (a long time ago, believe me),
though I've been focusing more seriously on the fiddle in recent
years. My dad taught me tongue blocking and I taught myself lip
blocking. I've had very little contact with other players over the
years, so some of the terminology I've seen in these discussions is a
little strange to me.

Questions: What exactly is "overblow?" Is this a technique for bending
a reed on a blow? If so, how's it done?

Did anyone happen to catch Corky Siegel on NPR's "E Town" recently? He
played a fast blues number without accompaniment, singing a line or two
every dozen bars or so. I'd never heard anything like it. I'm glad no
one was around to see me sitting there stupified with my jaw in my lap.
I'm trying to work up something similar, but I can only remember general
impressions of what he played. I'd never heard of him up to that point,
so I did a search of the HarmoniGopher archives, where I found out he's
been doing chamber music, of all things. Intriguing! Anybody know of
any blues recordings by him?
