Subject: Difference between SM57 and SM58

The primary difference between the Shure SM57 and SM58 is that the SM58 is
intended mainly for vocal applications--it has a pop filter/windscreen over its
element. The SM57 has no such pop filter as it was designed primarily for
miking instruments. I believe the SM58 shares the SM57's dynamic element and
has a cardioid pickup pattern, if I'm not mistaken.
