From what I have transcribed (so far) from his new CD, I haven't run across
anything that wasn't 3rd position (and very fast at times). I haven't been
through the whole thing, so he might be overblowing on tunes I haven't picked
apart yet.

Oops, I should've changed the subject since this is about Sugar Blue! :
Anyways, according to the interview in Missisippi Saxaphone, Sugar Blue
plays Special 20s. When I saw him live I'm pretty sure he was playing
diatonic the whole time.

Does anyone know if he uses overblows or does he just play very fast 3rd
position runs?
