Hi all,
The list has been pretty quite lately. So I thought I'd throw this out.
I took apart one of my harps the other day (in fact, it was my first harp, my Hohner Pocket Pal).
This is the first time that I had taken the ENTIRE thing apart, until then I had just removed the face plates (I didn't want to mess it up beyond repair...which I am sure would be easy for me to do).
Any way, as I had suspected, there was a good bit of rust on the reed plates.
Is there any GOOD way to prevent rust from accumulating on the plates (reed or cover) and to remove rust that has accumulated that will not adversly effect the quality of the harp (meaning, I think it would possibly mess up a reed if I sand papered it until all the rust was off...altering size/shape and all that)?
Thanks in advance for any help!
BTW, George. What's the news on news? I still haven't seen anything in the groups about us yet...I was guessing that the moderators of the group (news.announce.newgroups) was just taking their time posting it...do you have any new info?
Also, Has ANYONE heard from Joe??? Is the Harp-L tape coming along?
