Subject: Breaking in Harps

Hi all,
I once took a good look at breaking in a harp. I took a brand new
harp and ran a micrometer over every aspect, I then reasembeled it and
played it untill it felt broken in and than mesured it all over againe.
There was no mesurable difference. I concluded that it must be that the
player must become adjusted to the way the harp playes rather than the
other way round. I never bother with breaking a new harp in I just go right
up on stage and do my solo performances with a new Ultimo right out of the
box. David
