I'm now on that steep learning curve of 3rd. and 4th. positions. After
years of putting down the diatonic harp and reaching for the guitar (or
a minor key harp) when asked to solo on a minor key song I am finally
realising how much I have been missing.

Yo C.B., enjoy, enjoy! One way I've really had fun learning 3rd
position, (and reaquainting myself with first position as well), has been
to make my own compilation cassette tapes, with all the cuts on a tape side
in the same harp position. That way you can hear song after song in the
position you want to work on (and play a long with).
I ended up with two 90 min. cassettes. One has first pos. on side
one and third pos.on side two. The second tape has all Chromatic on the
first side and all harp soloes on the second. They are perfect for jammin'
on the road, and perfect for a short boogie any time of day.

Just a thought,
Rod
