There's a little blurb in today's Washington Post (Weekend section, p. 5) about the new Cephas & Wiggins album, their first Alligator release. I haven't heard this one yet, but I'm sure it's great - I honestly haven't heard a bad C&W recording or show. They're playing at the Adult Education Center at University of Maryland tonight. Also, Carey Bell's in town, playing Tornado Alley tonight. I would probably go to the C&W show, but I'm house sitting near Tornado Alley this weekend, so I'll probably go to the Carey Bell show. There is also a DC Blues Society jam open blues jam this Sunday, at Food For Thought, from 4-8. If you want more details about the jam let me know.
