Subject: (Fwd) hohner pro harp ms

Just bought a Hohner Pro Harp MS. I needed a new D harp and I bought
this moded mainly because I like the way it looks and feels. It has
black cover plates and a plastic comb but feels almost as heavy as my
Suzuki MR 350's. It plays real well until you go for a bend and then
more often than not you lose the sound completely. I know it is new
and needs some breaking in but I have never had a harp that seemed
that stiff even when new. The problem occurs mainly when using
pucker, and is not so prominent when forming a 'U' with the tongue,
(I get more air pressure with the 'U' but cannot get around the harp
as quickly as with the pucker, but thats material for another post.)
The literature that comes with the harp says it is modular and that
the reeds can be modified and or the reed plates replaced, however
the store where I bought it doesn't carry any replacement parts. I
paid 27.95 for it, is that good, too high or average? Just curious.
I'd like to hear from anyone who has experience with this harp.

Thanks
Rick
