I lay no claim to this ingenious solution. I assume that various of you with the normal vivid imagination granted to all harp players will think up other areas of the anatomy which could be protected. As with the lips there would be a loss of sensitivity. Silver harmonica plates are not sensitive, that is why this is the ONLY place I use it ...... and then only as a short experiment before modelling in other materials.
