Subject: Blown harps/valved bends

I've blown out A harps at a rate about 5X anything else.
I play Huang Star Performers so I guess most of you
can disregard this. I did buy an A LO and it has lasted
me probably 3x as long as the SP and is still as good as
new (I'm hoping). In descending order A, C, D. I use
all keys, but mostly A, D, G, F, C and E. FWIW I've never
had to replace my E harp and it's one that I play with
very hard attacks (~ 5 years). I play 2nd and 3rd position.

Report on valved bending - my valved bends are not sounding
as cheesy these days. Now they sound better than my
overblows. Anyone who does both that could give a dissertation.
Can overblows sound as good as standard draw bends when
played by mere mortals? I'm certain that I'll get full-sounding
valved bends and wondering whether to continue to try
overblowing without buying Howard Levy's video.
