Subject: 3rd position- dia or chro?

I am an intermediate player who is trying to develop third position technique.
It seems like I should probably initially concentrate on diatonic or chromatic
harp, but I am uncertain about which. Considerations include musical qualities,
cost, flexibility in the blues jam environment, LW emulation, and weight of the
harp case.

Anyone have advice?
