Subject: April 20th "Sonny Junior" Workshop

On April 20th Blue Spirit Productions will be sponsoring a Harmonica
Workshop
hosted by Gary Onoforio alias "Sonny Junior" and assisted by Miguel Weissman.
This workshop has been designed for the intermediate level player focusing on
Chicago and country blues rhythms. Tongue blocking techniques, vibratos, and
tone excersizes will also be covered. Because this is an intermediate level
course it is required that each student at least be capable of draw bending
holes 1 through 4. As of this week we still have seats open. All proceeds go to
pay for studio time and compensate Sonny for his time and travel expenses.

Location: Randells Studio
Room 503
153 West 27th St (between 6th and 7th ave)
New York City

Time: 1:00 to 4:00pm (or burn out)
Saturday April 20th, 1996

Cost: $40.00

Limit: 12 Students

Sonny Junior resides out of New Haven Conn. and has been playing the harp for
25 years of which 2 were spent traveling on the road with Sonny Terry. As a duet
partner, aid driver, and student, Sonny Junior absorbed many of Sonny Terry's
techniques and since has developed his own sound integrating country blues
rhythms with the power of the Chicago Little Walter style. Today Little Sonny is
devoted to the art as a player, teacher, and harp amplifier designer. His line
of "Sunny Junior Amps'" were recently written up in American Harmonica
Newsletter.
Blue Spirit Productions is a new effort in the NYC area to offer the
knowledge and playing techniques of todays masters to the beginner,
intermediate, and advanced student of the instrument. We look forward to future
workshops with the likes of Mark Hummel and others. For more information,
