Considering that you can get Huangs for not much more (Farrell's has the
Silvertones at $6.93 and the Star Performers for about 7.50), they're also a
good alternative for a child's gift, and, though not great, they are
certainly good enough to meet Jon Gindick's concerns that a beginner should
start out on a harp that is easy to play. Heck, they're good enough for
Madcat (although I suspect he has Joe Filisko 'tweak' his Huang reedplates
just a bit ).
