That's all you get, folks! The sojourner has surrendered and is settled once again onlist. For now, though, it appears that catching up is on tap for me. Just a few brief comments, however... [Yeah, yeah, "This I gotta see," the mumbling rumbles.]
BHF: WOW! Wheee!! Whew!!!
Jack Ely: The epitomy of cool and caring, grace and good humor, under constant pressure. The Festival's Knotsmith, to whom I expressed the next sentiment...
In general, as a class of musicians, harmonica players must be the most cheerful, happy-go-lucky bunch in the world. Less moodiness, crankiness, arrogance and depression than any songsters I've ever seen. Extremely refreshing!
The variety and scope of harmonica skills and techniques must surely be infinite; the instrument's tone is grandly rounded out with the addition of something like Cathi's creamy voice and attending guitar; Danny's itinerary doesn't lie; Harp-L proves it's easier to get to know people one has spoken with but never seen than those one has seen but never talked with; a rare, gifted acoustic harmonicist can make some wonder where the mic is hid; and you can scare a lot of people all at once in a van.
Oh, and if you're hankering for dessert, be sure to take Buzz the Birthday Boy to dinner.
Lastly, Rocket is capable of embellishing stories out of all proportion; especially about bar-top dancing. Anyway, if I really did, he'd be playing MY gig the next week, you'd better believe! >:)
