Cupping the mic tightly is always mentioned as a crucial part of amplified harmonica. But details are sketchy.
Where is it most critical to cup tightly? (I know, in the club..). Front, back, top, bottom, hand-to-mic, hand-to-hand?
Are there holding tips? Is your right index finger on the end if the harp, or cupping your other hand? How about the thumbs?
Is a finger width enough clearance between the harp and the mic?
Is there a way to tell either "you're there" or "nope, too loose"? Like, will feedback go away all of a sudden? Or will the tone suddenly fatten up? Can you look and see, or do you just hafta listen?
