Dear Harp-L:
Thanks to all those who have responded to my recent posts about Bill Dicey and visited the Bill Dicey Page (http://www.friend.ly.net/user-homepages/m/mdicey/bill.htm).
Special thanks to Chon and Indiana for their glowing comments about "Bill Dicey's Tips & Tricks for Blues Harmonica." (Still available at the original price of US$14.50. Send check or M.O. to M. Dicey, PO Box 425-W, Rock Hall, MD 21661, USA. Add US$2.50 for airmail postage outside US and Canada.)
Last Monday, May 20th, I sailed to the middle of Bill's beloved Chesapeake Bay, and cast his ashes to the wind halfway between Annapolis, Maryland, his birthplace, and Rock Hall on the opposite shore, where he died on March 17, 1993.
On the night Bill left us, our daughter Eleanor, then 10 years old, said, "Don't cry, Mommy. Daddy's playing harp with the angels now -- with all his old friends." Yes, Eleanor, and it must be one hell of a band!
