Paul Oscher toured with the Muddy Waters Blues Band from 1967 to 1971
and recently released an album titled "Knockin in the Devil's Door" on the
Viceroots label. During his 25 years of playing he has performed under the
name "Brooklyn Slim" and played with blues greats such as Louisiana Red,
John Lee Hooker, and T-Bone Walker.
Steve Guyger toured with Jimmy Rogers for thirteen of his twenty-five
years of playing and just released an album "Live at the Dinosaur". He is also
featured on Paul's "Knockin on the Devil's Door". Steve has played with such
legendary and contemporary players as James Cotton, Junior Wells, Kim Wilson,
and Rod Piazza.
Bob Shatkin is an experienced player and performer for over 35 years who on
occasion played with Muddy Waters. Bob is currently teaching blues harmonica
at The New School in New York City.
Though the workshop will be geared towards intermediate players, all levels
are welcome and encouraged to attend.
NYC Blues Harmonica club is a new effort in the NYC metro area to offer the
knowledge and playing techniques of today's masters to the beginner, intermediate,
and advanced student of the art.
