Subject: Couple of Questions

David Michelsen recommended a Hohner SBS to me which I love (thanks Doc).
Hohner sold me a standard 14-hole Marine Band labelled as an SBS, and have
just sent me a replacement. The question : is some part of the standard 14
hole MB the same as a 10 holer, perhaps an octave lower? Could this be a
way to get either high or low tunings (F/G etc)?

Second question : I find when tuning my guitar, or looking for corresponding
notes harp-guitar, that I can't always initially tell the difference between
notes an octave apart. My question is, what am I experiencing, and not
experiencing. I'm not experiencing "pitch" because the notes are obviously
higher/lower. On the other hand I am experiencing something because my ear
is telling me these notes are the "same", which they kinda are in the
Western system of music.
