Subject: Back again

Hello everyone - after a year's absence from the net, here I am again.
Please send correspondence, praise, insults, credit card numbers, etc. to my
new address above.

My thoughts on toungue blocking versus puckering - if you want to master the
harp, learn both (and any other embouchures you can find). If you want to
make your own personal statement, use whichever one suits your playing best.
TB gives you a certain attack to each note, allows large intervals to be
smoothly played and is a contributory factor towards your tone. Puckering
allows you to play faster runs, easier overblows and more controlled bends
(as well as freeing your tongue to allow you to use it for certain effects).
Horses for courses - nobody says you have to use one or the other. Damn -
and I said I wasn't going to get drawn into this argument....

Does anyone out there know what special tuning Bernie Bray used on the chrom
to play "Sweet Georgia Brown"? And does anyone know the special tuning Paul
Orta uses on his 10-hole chroms?

My collection of altered tunings for the harmonica currently contains about
100 different setups and wil soon be publicly available. Watch this space...

Pat Missin.
