Subject: Chromatic tape

A caution about identifying harp recordings as played on a chromatic (presumably
third position) rather than diatonic based on different sounding chords, etc-
diatonic harp played in third position sounds quite different from cross harp,
and distinguishing this from third position chromatic may require careful
listening and/or familiarity. While it seems that most third position
recordings employ a chromatic harp, some artists (i.e. Mark Hummel) often
play in third using both.
