Subject: Carey Bell in Connecticut

Just got home from Carey Bell at The Hungry Tiger in Manchester, CT.

Not much to report. Only stayed for first set (I've got a 6:30 am
lobby call!)

Carey Bell, vocals and harmonica's
Steve Jacobs, Guitar
T.A. Adams, Bass
Thomas Parker, Drums

Chicago Blues legend Carey Bell was charming and after I bought him a
Jack Daniels (neat) we talked. Look for him in Springfield, MA,
Tuesday night and in Philadelphia over the weekend.

First set consisted of mostly cover tunes, but thats OK.

Carey's harp playing was impeccable. His timing and phrasing is beautiful
and I enjoyed him as a performer very much.

IMO, the guitarist was right in the pocket, the bass player was on the
money and the drummer was dragging.

Hope the second set improved.
