Subject: Big River Harp's

i found a description that Big River Harps have thicker
reedplates, the same which are used for Cross Harps.
is this only doen for the USA market ?
think of gold Marine Band which comes in a pretty nice
case box of wood in europe and in plastic box in USA ?
is Hohner selling different harps of the same type now ?
