As Art Daane reported earlier, Abe Diamond, brother of Leo Diamond, passed away in Miami, FL. The Diamond brothers, together with Richard Hayman, composed the Harmonicaires, and appeared in such films as Seven Days' Leave (1942), Sweet Rosie O'Grady (1943), Coney Island (1943), and Thousands Cheer (1943).
I called Leo's wife to ask for details, and she told me Abe died on Leo's birthday, June 29.
