I'm not aware that the circuitry of the Champ changed from the blackface to the silverface models. (tweeds are a different circuit) There may be some quality variations in later Champs.

Is it clean? Has anyone messed with the innards? It may need new tubes, but that isn't reallya problem.

Champs are usually very good harp amps, but aren't big or loud.
