Subject: Newcomer to the group

Hi, All:

My name is Mark Eidemiller. I started playing the harmonica (a simple
little American Ace) a few months ago, and much has come naturally as long
as I know the melody. I also got a Marine Band in G a couple of months ago
to add to my set. I took Jack Earl's email Gospel Harmonica course, and
learned much.

Then, in searching the net, I came across this mailing list. I've been
watching for a few days, boggled by some of the topics that are orbital to
where I'm at in my harmonica education.

I've got a question, though. An obvious one to many of you, probably, but
I'll dare it.

I've heard of "the circle of Fifths," but just what is it? And, since I
heard it in context of piano lessons, how does it apply to the harmonica?

Thanks, and I'll be looking for the replies. Take care.
