Don't sweat it too much. Get close and fit in words that mean
something to you. In many cases, the guys who wrote the songs never
sang them the same way twice, so don't get too hung up on specific
words. Be sure you get the intent right and make it meaningful to
you.

FWIW: I'm from the rural southern US, and I have trouble with some of
those lyrics, too. Being Swedish shouldn't be TOO much of an
impairment.
