I guess there is hard use and then there is HARD USE.
The SP's I purchased about 8 mo ago had a pleasing and loud tone, the notes were easily bent, and the first failure was the often-played key C after about 4 mo of hard(?) use. They were certainly adequate given my level of committment at the time. Huang was very responsive to my questions (via email) and request for assistance. I ended up talking to none other than Cham-Ber Huang when I requested additional cover screws, and he provided valuable tuning advice. Lee Oskars are more accurately tuned and more durable, but at 3x the price. Heck, one can buy enough SP's for jamming for the cost of 2 CDs.
