Subject: Re: New on the list (Kim Wilson amps)

Gibson GA-45 was what I was told. 4 eight inch speakers and 16
watts. Kevin Mcgowan knows and so does Tom Ellis lll so if I'm wrong
guys correct me. That harp tone on Tigerman is about my current
favourite from a living person. fjm

I also heard some of Tigerman was done on a GA-90 6x8 (in a post by
Tom Ellis about two years ago).

FWIW, I have a 1955 Gibson 4x8 amp - an accordion amp issued under
the Maestro label. Those of you with a Harp-L Tape II can hear what it
sounds like paired with a 1965 Vibro-Champ. My recording was done
with a LOT less production values than Mr. Wilson's (one Shure SM-57 in
front of the band plugged straight into a conventional tape deck), but
that's not why my tone isn't as good......
