I would like to postpone talk about the thumb hook and hand position, which I don't agree with.
I am VERY interested in your tone layout. The immediate argument by any harmonica player would be... But you can't play chords! Damn good thing too! OK, it is nice, but for 99% of the time I am playing single note melody (classical stuff) You would get a four octave instrument into 13 holes ... great. Octaves are OK. OK so one has to learn a different system and a different way of thinking, but the chromatic scale becomes logical and the same starting from any position.
Have you published this or copyrighted it?? If you haven't I would try and do so. At least get a copy of your system recorded and put in an envelope in your bank signed and sealed and dated by them. There seems to be nothing new under the sun and there may already be a patent out on it, but it is worth a try. I can see several advantages.
BTW, I am not really interested in the hand positions and the thumb hook because of the type of music I play acoustically which demands certain hand shapes for projection and volume, and I cannot move my finger fast enough to play 10 to 13 notes a second using that system. As I said, I have tried.
