Subject: Harp Quality

I just wanted to share a quote from "Blues Harp Songbook" by Tony Glover and be mindful that this
was written in 1975. On page 8 he writes and I quote "Picking a harp; my own personal favorite is still
the Hohner ten hole Marine Band, tho'they ain't as good as they used to be."
Now if 21 years ago they were considered not as good, just how good were they way back when? Anyway
I too prefer the Lee Oskars but I have a Special 20 in the key of A that is the best little harp for tone
and bending. I have a Special 20 in C that has nowhere near the qualities of that A harp. Maybe I was just
lucky with the A.
But back to the main subject: too bad the Marine Bands ain't as good as they used to be.
