Subject: Meisterklasse (Was Re: still worried about cuts in ZA5)

When I got my first Meisterklasse MS, I was rather disappointed. I liked
verry much the older non-MS ones, and the new MS Meisterklasse turned out
to be rather leaky.
I talkedto some specialists, Hohner included, and found out that there were
not enough screws in them. Just five altogether, including the cover
screws.
So I took my little thrill and added two screws on the back-side. The harps
really got better. less leaky, but not as good as the old ones which had 9
screws plus two cover screws.
I like the size of the MS-models, because the old Meisterklasse must have
been designed by some dwarf, they are to small, especially for
tongue-blocking.
Years later when Hohner, as a result of the players reaction turned back to
their old alloy ZA5, they added two screw in the Meisterklasse models with
made them better now. I have some in use, but I still prefer my Marine
Bands MS.
All the ZA5 reed plates have these two holes more now, but only the
Meisterklasse has screws in it. I tried to add two screws to my Marine
Bands, but they got worse instead of better. Anybody out there tried this
as well?
These are my 13 Pfennigs of experiences.
