Just as all the machine and network outages went away, I suffered a major outage of my own. I'll not bore you with the details, but the rough outline is that I have two boys, 8 and 10, who live in the UK. I haven't seen them for two years, and they've been staying the summer with me.
Their mother has agreed to let the youngest stay till Christmas, and for the older one to stay for a year when he hits 6th grade age (middle of next year). This has all happened very suddenly, and I've had a lot of lifestyle adjustments to make (house, job, schools, 8 tons of shopping, things like that!).
Anyway, I simply haven't sat down at a computer but once in the last 4 weeks. I fixed one big problem, but really have no idea if harp-l or the digest are functioning right now!
