If I understand Wim's letter correctly, he is not interested in sampling or synthesizing the harmonica sound - I don't believe that will ever be possible to any great success, due to the personal nature of the instrument. But rather he is interested in a midi instrument to use as a tool for exploration of various tuning possibilities, and what better tool than an actual harmonica midi? I applaud his thinking and efforts in this direction. Neither the Millioniser 2000 nor the ECH make any claims to having accurate synthesized harmonica, but rather are typical midi systems that just happen to be designed to be used and played as you would a harmonica, rather than keyboard or guitar, for instance. Both are velocity, or breath sensitive, and have extremely wide range of sound capability. - -- BassHarp - Danny Wilson Sierra Madre, CA 91024-1232 Email: bassha~arthlink.net Fax: 818-836-0981
