Subject: Bad Harp...coincidence?

Hi,

On Saturday, my very first harp arrived in the mail from Kevin's Harps. It
is a Hohner Big River in C. Being new at the harp, I worked most of the
weekend on the C major scale from holes 4-7. Today, I found through my
first real set of experiments with the other holes, that the hole 2 draw is
DEAD! There is no tone whatsoever, just air. When I draw very hard, it
makes a sound like someone shoved a wet rag into a saxophone.

I have seen the thread on the ZA5 reeds and am wondering if anyone has had a
similar experience? I don't know if it was the shipping or what? Is there
something that I should look for on the reed itself to help diagnose the
problem? Or should I just contact Kevin's and see what they or Hohner will do?

Hmmm...this might be a good time to try a Lee Oskar....
