I have found on all bar my LO that the 2 draw is always a little
dodgy (though I have never had one fail from new). I would try adjusting
the offset (Check the archives) or, first, just draw and blow rapidly on
the 2 hole quite hard. Whilst adjusting the offset, it might be worth
just prodding the reed about a bit to check that it is poperly alligned
or that it is not blocked.
In terms of alignment, I have had a few reeds that have twisted
slightly from the rivet point so that one edge was catching on the reed
slot. I used the blade on my trusty old pen knife to tap it back
across.
It could be a hundred and one things stopping it from vibrating
properly but logic suggests that, if you can get a slight noise by
drawing hard, then all is not lost. A bit of prodding normaly does the
trick though.
