the covers are not. Starting with the key of A the lower coverplate is deeper to acommadate the longer swing of the lower pitched reeds. This is a new innovation and older harmonicas will have the same covers in all the keys.>
That means I can use the original covers even if mounting new A reed plates in an old D harp? - or is there an obvious risk that the low pitch reeds then will touch the covers?? Mattias
