It's already been done - "Johnno" (Johnson or Johnston - can't recall) of
Australia published a lengthy article in the Australian Journal of Acoustics
some years back, from which Steve Baker quotes in the Harp Handbook. I did
have a copy, but unless you're an acoustics expert of some standing, it's
hard to extract the sense from it (it is for me, anyway!)
In the end, as long as it works, why does it matter what the physics are??
