Subject: Chromatic tunings

First of all I would like to thank you all for these most interesting
discussions that I find on the list. Special thanks to Winslow.
Answering to Wims tuning ideas he posted a whole book, I might say.
Analysing all kind of tunings. So at least everybody on the list will
understand why it takes you so long to get HIP issues finished.

BTW: I think it is good to discuss all special tunings, but the question
can't be which would the best one. I don't think that rational thinking
can give an answer but only periods of time and experience of many players.
If there were different tuning for the chrom in every manufacturers
catalogue it would be easier.
Talking about the trombone: Before players like J .J. Johnson emerged,
everybody took it for impossible to play bebop on a trombone.

Ciao
