Thats entirely possible and no-one has challenged you on that point.
However, you repeatedly mention that Toots Thielmans' playing is
limited by the standard tuning system, and you fail to recognize (or
at least mention) that your suggested system will have its own unique
limitations. You also fail to recognize or mention that ALL music is
limited by the instruments used to create it.

Then cite the books. Think critically about the point they are
making. If you don't agree with the point, then don't publish their
ideas under your name here. If you agree with the idea, then defend
it. I'm not clear WHY you made the point, but its your post that I
read and responded to.

As I recall, this freewheeling thread (which I'm enjoying, by the
way) began with you complaining about the Hohner attitude towards
innovation and your ideas for improving the chromatic harmonica. Its
certainly been interesting to see it evolve into a discussion of
racial contributions to jazz, the development of bebop, Toot's
Thielmans' role in chromatic harp improv, and the development of
modern saxophone jazz.

However, before we fill the net with another couple of megs of noise
about God knows only what, maybe we could direct this back to
harmonica and leave the potentially incindiary issue of race on the
back burner.
