Subject: pitch to midi

For what it's worth I've been tossing around midi for a while for the purpose
of using
a piano mod for effects. It's fun to experiment with different sounds using
gutiar processors but they lack the reproduction abilities that a piano mod
has.Let's face it ther are some keyboardist that can make you look all over
the room tring to find where the horn section is standing. My fingers are to
fat and short to want to play key,s and i've neve been able to get a smooth
tone from my alto-- I can play a harp and it would be nice to be able to
produce a horn section from my harps. There are pitch to midi converters out
there but the word is they can't handle any speed and are very expensive, not
to mention the high end piano mod runs close to a grand.

I would prefer to play with a horn section as they produce an energy level
that propels all,$$$$$$$ club and private party's down here (mtg,al.) only
pay between 400 & 600 for clubs and 600 to 1500 for parties.break it down 4
to 5 ways ,well you've been there, tough to justify a 3 piece horn section -
just glad I'm playing after all once someone figures out a way to emulate our
harp sounds(Peavy is veryclose with a chromatic sound) then ---? Our four
piece band has no drummer , no one in audience even notices. scarry.
