Eric, I have found these instructional materials to be most valuable.
I am a beginning harp player(2 yrs.) but have played guitar for thirty. Both
of David Barret's books will have you playing harp in no time. Those two
books are written wonderfully well with scales and "jams' i.e. exercises that
you can follow right along with(if you buy the accompanying C.D).Talk about
the most fun you can have with your hands !
I did find Howard Levy's instructional video to be a bit advanced
from where I am at this point. HOWEVER, just watching the man play is worth
the price of the tape and you can always learn his techniques later(much
later :-).
I hope this answers your questions somewhat. Learn alot and have a
good time. John User3434~ol.com
