Actually, I'm not sorry at all! And to prove it, here's another one.
Now that there's a few more sounds up there, I'm realizing that the text file is as important as the sound file.
If you are contributing a sound, could you try and describe the sound and how you do it as fully as possible? It's obviously hard to do describe in words, but that's what this project is about - nitty gritty details. Imagine you are trying to teach someone the concept, face to face.
For instance, Chris's excellent 11th position riff. I'm not entirely sure (without counting on my fingers) where 11th position starts, or even if Chris subscribes to the circle of fifths theory (my fingers say he probably does, but it would be nice to have confirmation).
To "cryforhelp" - yes, more would be most welcome! Just stuff 'em up there. And no, 100Kb is not excessive, although it's about as large as we probably want to go right now (hopefully more disk space will be forthcoming soon) (ish), and we can start getting more extravegant.
I think the 8Khz, 8 bit mono is just fine for now. Keeps size down (dramatically!), and gets the ideas across.
I'm off to work on some templates and perl scripts to make the uploading and browsing process easier.
