Twelve, unless of course you're Chris M. or one of those
other masters of the diatonic-played-chromatically.

>2. How many chromatics/big harps should it hold?

One.

>3. How many bullet mikes should it hold?

One.

>4. Should it accomodate other types of mikes?

It ought to have customizable polystyrene or foam
insert so it can accomodate any mike.

>5. Should it hold mike cables?

Yes.

>6. Should it accomodate other things?

Room for an effects box or extra tubes/fuses
might be nice.

Definately retro.

>8. What should the cost be?

Cheap.

>9. How important is durability?

It should be waterproof. When you open it up, the lid should
prop open with a pocket to make some paper (e.g., music,
harp table, etc.) visible. A little battery powered light to illuminate
the inside of the case to make harp keys visible would be nice.

I myself am using a tweed briefcase that I bought for $0.25 at
a garage sale. I put some foam inserts in harps, mike, and reverb
box. Total cost: $3.00. It's falling apart, but the duct tape ads
a certain Red Green charm to the unit.

P.S. By the way, this NT Mail doesn't give me the address
of the original poster (sez the message comes from
"owner-harp-l"). At my old job, on a Unix account using elm,
I got the original poster's email in the From: field. Anyone
know what's up with that? I think it's a good idea to include
your return email address in the .sig for this reason....
