Subject: Magic Dick & J. Geils

i got a copy from J. Geils Band legendary live performance in Germany. I don't
know , if it was the only one. It was in March 21st to 22snd in Essen for WDR
Rockpalast in 1979, the whole rock-night was european-wide broadcasted on radio
as well as on TV. i just want to have it, because of another fine "Whammer
Jammer". The recording is copy of copy, so it sounds a bit like a bootleg.
shurely, there is a far better bootleg out ...
on Whammer Dick does a lot more pitch-bending on 9,10 and that was very helpful
to learn these bendings as well as the very good excercises that were posted ...

according that gig geils band was very professional when the arrived. They said,
we are not here for the beer or "german Frolleins" ... so they played their complete
set many times for rehearse and made a very good show, soundwise a bit like punk,
maybe tha't a result of my copy or an appearance of 79...
