Subject: RE: Not a Fish

Hi Winslow,

I read just your:

>>..... I like the Hohner Super 64x a lot, but mine has a balky slide....<<

I like this chromatic too and have inserted it's double plates into my CB 16
not without reason, but what do you mean exactly with "balky slide"? Does the
slide stick after having dried up or what's your criticism?

Normally the Super 64/64X are placed just between the 270 (and related models)
and the CX 12 concerning the mobility of the slide. The 270 slide sticks ever,
the CX 12 never and the Super 64s not "clever" but sometimes.

Look at first whether the slide is curved or bent. If not, adjust the curved
mouthpiece into a straightposition, clean the slide and it's guidance and
protect the slide with a thin film of liquid silicon as used by surgeons.

I hope I could help you.

Siegfried
