Subject: Re: Increasing speed on train sound

I am using my diagphram to push the air in and out quickly.

That's your mistake. The trick to speed and articulation is to tongue as in
ta ta ta to break up your notes into 8th, 16th, 32nd notes. In short if you
ta taaa ta a 2 beat draw 1234 chord, you break it into three syllables with
the accent on the middle one. Then blow, with 50 to 90% of the air over the
TOP of the harp, and immediately but easily draw again with the same or
similar tonguing pattern. Blowing so much air over the top of the harp lets
you avoid getting filled with air. The actual speed is not so great. Get
fast at this by doing it slow, and speeding it up. If you run out of breath,
you're doing it wrong. Jon
