Subject: Tuning reeds (was Re: Reed Fatigue Revisited)



I used to file reeds to tune them, but find the wide chisel supplied in
the Lee Oskar tool kit is far superior to filing. I remove metal by
scrapin the reed lengthwise, away from the rivet. Using this method,
I've yet to damage a reed or accidentally alter reed alignment, etc.
